A Little Holiday Reading

Gifts wrapped?  Check.  Cookies made?  Check.  Dinner party planned? Check.  Inspirational holiday books read?  Uhhhhhh. ...

Well, who really has time to read anything during this time of year?  I say we should make the time.  Whether it's 30 minutes before bedtime or a page or two over your lunch hour, I'd like to encourage you to take some time to get a little literary this season. 

Here are a few meaningful holiday titles that are worth checking out:

• "Why the Nativity?" by David Jeremiah - This new devotional from Tyndale Publishers has been released in conjunction with "The Nativity Story," the new film from New Line Cinema.  With 25 daily readings, this book is perfect for your quiet times during the month of December.  Each day features discussion questions and Scripture references for additional study.
  
  
• "Unafraid" by Francine Rivers - This is the fifth book in the "Lineage of Grace" historical fiction series (also from Tyndale) and chronicles the life of Mary, mother of Jesus.  I first read this entire series about four years ago, and picked up "Unafraid" again for my book club's December reading.  I don't know why I waited so long to read it again.  It's that good.
