An Iraqi Christian woman who is blind refused to convert to Islam, even after being threatened by ISIS militants.

Christian Today reports that Mariyam Petrayus, from western Mosul, was confronted by ISIS militants who told her she must renounce her Christian faith.

Petrayus boldly told the jihadis that she didn’t want to convert because she didn’t want to become like them.

"Why? What is wrong with me?" the man asked her, to which she responded,  "You don't say your prayers, you kill humans, you earn haram [sinful] earning, and you harass people."

Petrayus was held in captivity by the jihadis for two years before she was able to escape. She now lives in a refugee camp near Khazer, Iraq.

Although Petrayus escaped the militants, thousands of others have not been so fortunate.

Recently, missionaries in Iraq witnessed a three-year-old girl be killed when a bomb, planted by ISIS, exploded.

Andrew White, an Anglican priest, recalled another horrific story of young boys being murdered by ISIS.

"ISIS turned up and they said to the children, 'You say the words that you will follow Muhammad.' The children, all under 15, four of them, they said, 'No, we love Yasua [Jesus]. We have always loved Yasua. We have always followed Yasua. Yasua has always been with us.'" White said. "[The militants] said, 'Say the words!' [The children] said, 'No, we can't do that.' They chopped all their heads off."

"How do you respond to that?" White asked. "You just cry. They are my children. That is what we have been going through. That is what we are going through."
