The popularity of Netflix just may be contributing to the lower rate of porn viewing in hotels, according to new research.

More and more hotels are offering free streaming of Netflix, and this has reportedly contributed to the plummeting rate at which hotel guests are viewing pornography during their stay.

The research, which was undertaken by the group Enseo, a provider of streaming services for hotels, has revealed that when Netflix is an option in a hotel room, adult entertainment of pornographic video-on-demand goes down by 40 percent.

According to Variety: “Enseo CEO Vanessa Ogle has a tough message for hotel operators these days that they’re resistant to hearing: Get rid of all the porn, and replace it with Netflix instead.”

Installing Netflix streaming services has another benefit for hotels, according to Enseo. Guests who downloaded pornographic videos reportedly often dispute the charges when checking out of the hotels. This has caused hotels to lose money. There would be no such issues with Netflix streaming services, says Enseo.

In recent years and months, some government officials have even recognized porn as a public health crisis. Hopefully, its lack of profitability will cause it to be completely weeded out from the entertainment offered by hotels.
