Evangelicals are being urged to join the upcoming March for Life which will take place on January 22 in Washington, D.C.

According to SRNNews.com, evangelical leaders are planning a two day conference on January 21 and 22 to coincide with the March for Life.

The Evangelicals for Life conference will seek to get evangelicals engaged in the pro-life movement to a greater degree.

Russell Moore, the President of the Southern Baptist Convention’s Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission, which is a co-sponsor of the conference, said that he wants to see more evangelicals join the large numbers of Catholics were participate in the March for Life.

Referring to the large presence of Catholics and smaller presence of evangelicals in the March for Life, Moore stated that he doesn’t want to see any less “Ave Maria,” but wants to see a lot more “Amazing Grace.”

Focus on the Family President Jim Daly added that he is hopeful the march will join evangelicals and Catholics together in a united “voice for life.”
