Former star of “The Bachelor” (season 17) Sean Lowe says that he is nervous for the country this election cycle, but he is “praying for a revival," according to ChristianToday.com.

Lowe recently wrote a blog post in which he expressed his fears for the country:

"No matter what side of the aisle you lean towards, I think we can all agree these are scary times. Maybe it's the dad in me but I'm nervous about the future of our country. I'm scared that we're on a downward trajectory and things may only get worse. Maybe I'm being irrational. Or maybe I recognize that every dynastic global power eventually meets its demise."

Ultimately, however, Lowe says he knows God is in control, whether Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton take the election.

He said his favorite verse, James 4:14, serves as a reminder that whatever happens, it won’t last forever, but Jesus will always be with him.

"I love this verse because it puts my life here on Earth in perspective," he wrote. "Even if I'm lucky enough to live a hundred years, it's still just a blink of an eye compared to eternity. It reminds me that I need to focus on what's most important — following Jesus and sharing His love and grace with those who don't know Him."

"With all that said,” he continued. “I'm praying for a revival to sweep the country. I think we can come together and correct our country's course, but I believe we're going to have to draw closer to our creator for that to happen. So I'm encouraging you all to fight the good fight and keep your eyes on the greater prize."
