The Nigerian military recently rescued hundreds of women and children from Boko Haram camps in the Sambisa Forest. Many who were kidnapped, died in terrorist captivity, but those who survived are praising God for life.

Lami Musa, a 27-year-old survivor told the Associated Press, "We just have to give praise to God that we are alive, those of us who have survived.”

Musa was kidnapped while pregnant five months ago; she was forced to leave her three children behind and still does not know their fate. Musa was rescued just before she was forced to marry a Boko Haram commander who killed her husband.

"They took me so I can marry one of their commanders," she said. "When they realised I was pregnant, they said I was impregnated by an infidel, and we have killed him. Once you deliver, within a week we will marry you to our commander."

Christian Today reports that Boko Haram militants started stoning their captives when they learned the Nigerian military was on its way to rescue the women and children. A 20-year-old woman name Salamatu Bulama survived the attack, but says her two-year-old son died in the camp.

“What will I tell my husband?” she said.
