An historic Serbian Orthodox Cathedral in New York City was engulfed in flames on Sunday, the same day its congregation celebrated Easter.
 
ABC News reports that the parishioners at the Cathedral, which was built in 1850 and was originally an Episcopalian church, had gathered to celebrate Orthodox Easter earlier in the day on Sunday. Hours later--around 7 p.m.--the fire broke out and about 170 firefighters rushed to the scene.
 
Reports say there were no serious injuries and only one person needed to be treated for smoke inhalation.
 
Nevertheless, Manhattan residents nearby watched in horror as the blaze consumed the historic building:
