ISIS militants have brutally tortured and then crucified a 12-year-old boy, his father, and others who refused to deny their faith.

Mirror.co.uk reports that the ISIS militants cut off the boy’s fingertips and brutally beat him in front of his father and an onlooking crowd, saying they would only stop their savagery if the boy’s father denied his Christian faith and converted back to Islam.

The boy’s father, a ministry team leader in Syria, as well as two other ministry workers, refused to deny their faith.

“When the team leader refused, relatives said, the ISIS militants also tortured and beat him and the two other ministry workers. The three men and the boy then met their deaths in crucifixion,” Christian Aid Mission reports.

In addition to this brutality, the militants raped two women who were Christian aid workers before the watching crowd. Witnesses report that the women prayed while enduring the ordeal.

The ministry’s director even reported that “One of the women looked up and seemed to be almost smiling as she said, ‘Jesus!’”

The women, along with eight other aid workers were then beheaded by the ISIS fighters and their bodies were hung on crosses as a warning to others.
