The Josh Duggar adultery scandal has resulted in a public apology and emphasis on forgiveness, but not everyone believes reconciliation should be that simple.

Daniel Keller, brother of Josh’s wife, Anna, and thus brother-in-law to Josh, has apparently had enough of people affirming Josh’s apology and swiftly offering forgiveness, both for Josh's molestation of young girls as a teenager (including his sisters) and now for the current adultery scandal brought to light by the Ashley Madison leak.

On Facebook, Daniel Keller stated, “You have to confess and forsake your sin to have mercy. Not sin confess and repeat.”

Slate reports that Keller told Anna she could stay with him to distance herself from Josh and make a point to him that his sin has consequences.

Keller’s family, however, doesn’t support their daughter moving out from under her husband’s roof, despite Josh’s adultery.

The Kellers, like the Duggars, ascribe to the traditional view of marriage roles in which the husband is the head of the wife and she is to submit to his authority.

Keller stated that his parents are more concerned with what a divorce would say about their family than they are with getting Josh the counseling and help he needs and getting Anna and her children out of her husband’s home during this time.

Slate also reports that there have been hints that Daniel Keller and his wife do not agree with the views of his parents or the Duggars.
