Lauren Daigle made her late night debut last night as she graced The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon stage performing her song “Look Up Child.”

The Billboard Music Award winner took to the stage Wednesday night to sing the title track from her new hit album which reached number one of the Top Christian Albums chart and number three on the Billboards Top 200 chart.

Daigle has recently been making the mainstream talk show rounds, appearing first on The Ellen Show late last month which was met with some criticism.

The Christian artists defended her decision to perform on the openly-gay talk show host's show in a radio interview saying, “I think the second we start drawing lines around which people are able to be approached and which aren't, we've already completely missed the heart of God.”

She continued, "I don't have all the answers in life, but one thing I know is that I can't choose who I'm supposed to be kind to and who I'm not, because that's the mission right? Be who Christ was to everyone as well."

Daigle’s performance on The Tonight Show was met with much more excitement following her defense, many people excited that a Christian artist is getting mainstream publicity.

One Twitter user wrote, “Lauren Daigle on Jimmy Fallon… BRING ON THE PRAISE!”

Another wrote, “So happy and proud of Lauren Daigle for all that she is doing. Being the first Christian artist to be on Ellen, then getting to be on Jimmy Fallon!!!!! You go Lauren Daigle!!!!! Sending love your way!!!”

Daigle is preparing to go on The Behold Christmas Tour later this month. The tour kicks off in Roanoke, Virginia on November 29.
