Amidst all the destruction and devastation caused by the massive Hurricane Irma, a touching story has emerged.

As the storm approached Florida and made its way up the coast, Floridians rushed to prepare. Stores sold out of many essential items. Shoppers at a Lowe’s hardware store in Orlando depleted the store’s generator supply.

Customer Ramon Santiago bought the last generator that day, but when he realized that another shopper, Pam Brekke, was in desperate need of the generator, he gave it to her.

According to ABC local affiliate WFTV 9, Brekke had traveled nearly 30 miles to find a store with a generator. As she watched the last generator being bought, she couldn’t hold back her tears.

"My father's on oxygen, and I'm worried about this storm," she said.

That’s when Santiago realized the situation and stepped in.

“She need the generator," said Santiago, whose first language isn't English. "It's Okay. No worry for them."

Santiago and Brekke shared a heartfelt hug and Brekke told the reporter filming the act of kindness, “That’s a beautiful man right there.”

"I'm very overwhelmed by that man," she added. "That gentleman was a great gentleman right there. God will bless that man."
