The 2016 March for Life in Washington D.C. will proceed on schedule despite warnings of severe winter storms.

According to USA Today, the March for Life in the U.S. capital always takes place on January 22, which marks the day Roe vs. Wade made abortion legal in the U.S.

"There will be no changes to the march," said Ryan Hughes, spokesperson for March for Life.

The March is scheduled to begin around 1 p.m., and will include a literal march down Constitution Avenue to the Supreme Court building, as well as speeches by various public figures. Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina is also scheduled to address the crowd.

The event will begin at the Washington Monument just before noon. At 3 p.m. the event will hold “Silent No Longer” speeches, followed by visits to members of Congress.

Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe, Maryland Governor Larry Hogan, and D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser have all declared states of emergency in their respective jurisdictions, but this is not deterring the hundreds of thousands of pro-life advocates who plan to participate in the event.
