The CEO of CURE International, the non-profit organization that runs charity hospitals and programs in 29 countries, believes that the shooting in Kabul was not religiously motivated.
Dale Brantner, CEO of the Pennsylvania-based organization said that he believes the shooting was for political reasons; the attacked did not target Christians.
In a phone interview with the AP, Brantner said Christians were usually respected in Muslim culture.
Branter expressed grief over the death of Dr. Jerry Umanos, a specialist in medical care of premature babies. The names of the two other doctors who were victims in the attack have not yet been released.
