An Oklahoma attorney general refuses to give up the fight to keep a Ten Commandments monument on the grounds of the state Capitol.

Attorney General Scott Pruitt is fighting the state Supreme Court’s decision to remove the monument on the grounds that it violates the Constitution’s ban on using public property for religious displays, according to SRN News.

Pruitt stated that the Oklahoma Supreme Court’s decision “evinces a hostility toward religion.”

The Court’s decision has angered many conservative politicians who agree with Pruitt.

Although Pruitt has argued that the Ten Commandments monument has a rightful place on the grounds of the state Capitol because of its historical significance, the court rejected his claim.

Brady Henderson, the attorney opposing Pruitt, called Pruitt’s claims “desperate and frivolous.”
