Oprah Winfrey is partnering with Craig Wright to produce a new television series which will feature a pastor’s family and their Memphis, Tennessee megachurch congregation.

Wright, who produced hit TV series “Lost,” “Dirty Sexy Money,” and “Tyrant” will be writing the scripts for the 13 episodes of the new series which is going to be called “Greenleaf.”

The series is described as a "multi-generational matrix of deception that involves the church's founding family and extends to its congregation, prominent members of the Memphis community and beyond. Yet, amid the mayhem and deception, the power of something greater persists, calling everyone to conscience for their sins," according to a Christian Today article.

The series will revolve around a pastor who leads a megachurch and his family, the Greenleafs. It will showcase the Greenleaf's family drama and shed light on church deception, showing that even in a church and a pastor’s household--apparent places of righteousness--sin still sneaks in and causes struggles, including sibling rivalry, greediness, conflicting values, and adultery, proving that even pastors’ families are human.

Winfrey affirmed her excitement to work with Wright and stated that "This show is going to be a fun ride and will hopefully have viewers on the edge of their pews week after week."

Wright also affirmed his anticipation of the show and working with Winfrey.

"To tell this potentially explosive story with Oprah, a partner who has as much respect and affection for the church as I do, whose entire body of work is infused with what I would call a faith-based humanism, is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, a blessing, even," Wright stated.
