Pro-Life Activist Compares Abortion to Brutality of ISIS Terrorists

Pro-life Liberty Counsel Chairman Mat Staver received backlash recently after comparing abortion to the brutality of terrorist groups like ISIS.
“Because we’re decapitating children, we’re breaking off their arms and legs, we’re brutalizing them in the same way that these larger people are being brutalized by ISIS,” Staver said, according to LifeNews.com.
Staver made these comments at a pro-life event in April, and some of his comments at the event were published on YouTube.
“God cannot continue to allow this country to exist under those kinds of circumstances,” he continued. “He cannot bless America under those kinds of circumstances. I want God’s blessing on this country, but He cannot bless this country when we’re going down this path of destruction of the people who are created in his very image.”
Many pro-life advocates talk about the brutal dilation and evacuation (D&E) procedure used in many abortions. This procedure involves the abortionist dilating the woman’s cervix and then pulling the baby out of the womb piece by piece, effectively dismembering and killing it.
Pro-abortion advocates claim that Staver and other pro-lifers assume the fetus is a human being when it is still just a fetus until it is born.
However, pro-lifers like Staver believe life begins at conception.
