Study Finds 3 in 4 Americans Believe Christmas Should be Celebrated in Public Schools

A new study has revealed that three in four Americans support celebrating Christmas in public schools.
According to a national telephone survey conducted by Rasmussen Reports, 76 percent of American adults believe Christmas should be celebrated in public schools.
Rasmussenreports.com says that the questions on the survey were:
- Should Christmas be celebrated in public schools?
- Is there too much religion in the public schools today or not enough? Or is the level of religion in public schools about right?
The survey found that only 15 percent of participants disagreed that Christmas should be celebrated in public schools.
In addition, 54 percent of those surveyed said there was not enough religion in public schools, while only 12 percent said there was too much religion in public schools.
The survey also revealed that when participants referred to “religion,” they most often meant Christianity.
The survey was conducted on December 10 and 13, 2015 and has a level of accuracy of 95 percent.
The majority of Americans who celebrate Christmas within their families also favored its celebration in public schools (80 percent).
