Trump Claims Black Pastors Were Pressured Not to Endorse Him

A group of African-American pastors is scheduled to meet with Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump today.
Although the meeting was originally billed as an endorsement of Trump, due to a miscommunication, the event has been changed to a private event in which the pastors’ endorsement of Trump is not guaranteed, according to ABC News.
Trump stated that he believes the pastors intended to endorse him, but were pressured not to by supporters of the Black Lives Matter movement.
"Probably some of the Black Lives Matter folks called them up and said, 'Oh, you shouldn't be meeting with Trump because he believes all lives matter,'" Trump said.
Darrell Scott, senior pastor of New Spirit Revival Center in Cleveland Heights, Ohio helped organize the event. Scott believed the black pastors meant to endorse Trump, but stated, “It’s a miscommunication.”
Trump’s campaign had initially released a statement that said: "Mr. Trump will be joined by a coalition of 100 African-American evangelical pastors and religious leaders who will endorse the GOP front-runner after a private meeting at Trump Tower."
Trump says he still believes some of the 100 pastors will endorse him.
"I have no idea what the meeting is really. ... We'll see what happens. I don't know it it's an endorsement, I don't know if it's an endorsement by some,” he stated.
