What are the Polls Saying Early on Election Day?

Election Day has finally arrived and the race is close. Current polls show Republican Donald Trump at a projected 266 electoral votes and Democrat Hillary Clinton at a projected 272 electoral votes.
A candidate needs 270 electoral votes to win the election.
According to RealClearPolitics.com, Trump is projected to win the battleground states of Iowa, Florida, North Carolina, and Ohio. Clinton is projected to win Pennsylvania and Virginia.
Trump is also currently leading in Colorado.
“The latest early voting numbers released Monday morning show registered Republicans cast 652,380 ballots compared to 645,020 registered Democrats — a 7,360 vote GOP advantage. The breakdown looks like this: 35.2 percent Republican, 34.8 percent Democrat and 28.5 percent unaffiliated,” according to The Denver Post.
Both Clinton and Trump casts their own votes in New York; Clinton in Chappaqua and Trump in Manhattan.
Many voters on both sides say they are voting either for Clinton or Trump as the lesser of two evils. CBSNews reported that only five percent of voters were undecided going into Election Day.
Other candidates on the ballot include Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson, Green Party candidate Jill Stein, and Independent candidate Evan McMullin.
As far as when full election results may be expected to be announced, political commentators say it depends how close the vote count is in swing states such as Florida. In 2012, the election results in Florida were not called till after midnight, according to The Inquisitor.
