Walking Round the Track
by Berni Dymet

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.

I love getting out for exercise, and most mornings I head out early for a walk.  There's a huge park near us.  It's got a great walking track.  I normally get there just before sunrise, and there's hardly a soul around.

But pretty soon the place is packed - people walking, running, riding their bikes.  Young, old, male, female, tall, short, fat, thin, black, white, good, bad; the most amazing array of people.

But there's another distinction that's worth making: lost, found, and saved … perishing.

And it doesn't matter what we look like on the outside, inside we either know Jesus Christ as our own, or we don't.  And one day, well one day that's the only distinction that'll matter.  It's the only thing that'll separate one from the other.

Saved…..or perishing.  Because God so loved the world that He gave His only Son so that whoever believes in Him, won't perish, but instead will have eternal life.
