Promises, Promises
by Berni Dymet

Matt.28:20b And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.

I don't know if you've noticed, but the world is full of people who promise - well, the world, and then don't deliver.  You're after a quote for something and the person comes to measure up and says "I'll have that quote to you tomorrow."  A week later, still no quote.

Or you pass a friend in the street - and they say "I'd love to have you over for dinner."  But you don't hear from them again.

A problem with your plumbing and so you call the plumber and he says "I'll be out on Monday."  He doesn't show.  Sometimes, it seems as though this world's just a string of broken promises.

And then, then Jesus comes along and says "I will never leave you or forsake you.  I am with you always - even to the end of this age?"

Well - why should I believe Him?  That's a good question, it deserves an answer.

Why?  Because He suffered and died for you…and rose again.
