I'm not sure
by Berni Dymet

I John 5:13-15 I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life. And this is the boldness we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have obtained the requests made of him.

Jesus - yesterday I came to you and gave my life to you.  And to tell you the truth - today, I'm not so sure.

I woke up in the middle of the night - in this cold sweat.  And I got to thinking - "What have I done?"

I'm not some religious nut.  And then I figured - well if you're God - you already know that.  That's weird huh?!

And God you know what happens - in my heart of hearts - I want you so much.  But in my head - I feel like, well you know when you wake up and you feel like you're falling.  That's just how I feel in my head.

I gave you everything.  All of my life.  And I don't know what that's going to mean.

So God, I just want to ask you today, to do something to make it so that I can believe.  I hear these people talk about faith.  But some days for me, it's just not easy.

So God - please help me to believe.  In Jesus' name.
