What Is Eternal Life-Part 3

December 2, 2013

Saved means saved! Not maybe, or perhaps, or if you hold on until the end! Once we are born into God’s family, we cannot be un-born! If we, in God’s family are lost again when we sin, just how many sins does it take to lose our salvation? Only one? If so, each time we sin we must be saved again, and after we are saved we should be baptized again! The Bible says that we should believe and be baptized! So, everytime we are angry or jealous, or irritable, or lie, or are selfish, we must be saved again, and then be baptized again – and again – and again!

How contrary to the Word of God! My friend, think about this, saved is in the passive tense; it is something that is done for us. We have been saved by the Savior.

Romans 10:13 - For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Let’s not forget what the Apostle Paul had to say in Ephesians 2:8-9  – “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.”

My friend, don’t get caught up into legalism. Separate yourselves from those who make you feel as those you are walking on the edge of hell and are about to fall in. If you will notice, the very sins they point out in others are the very sins they are guilty of.

My friend you don’t have to live under someone else’s legalism that is used to control others and causes others to be co-dependent on them. Live by the cross and the cross alone. Where Jesus died for you and as you. Be controlled by the Holy Spirit.
