Let Go And Let God

July 2, 2013

“He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, ‘O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.’” - Matthew 26:39

Do you sometimes struggle with God over an issue you desperately want solved? There is an overwhelming sense of urgency, the time is short and your prayers are intense. You have prayed as specifically as you know how and followed all the commands you know to obey, but God seems silent, you have reached the end of the rope and don’t know what to do. Let go and let God. Letting go does not mean becoming passive and listless.

Jesus is our example. Forget your own agenda and simply settle for God’s provision. Jesus came to pay a debt He didn’t owe because we owed a debt we couldn’t pay. Because of His letting go, we have all been blessed with His provision for our salvation and the indwelling of His Spirit blended with our spirit to live the Christian life for us.
