Where Are You?

May 8, 2013

“And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” - Galatians 4:1-6

Where are you?  Is this not the same question God asked Adam and Eve when they sinned in the Garden of Eden?  You can know that when there is sin in your own life, God by his Holy Spirit, is crying out “Abba, Father?” into the hearts of all of His children. God always knows where we are. When we sin we have turned our backs on what God says is right. God longs to be reunited with His children when, in sin, they turn from Him. We are always in relationship with the Father, but our sin separates us from Him.  He is a Holy, and righteous God who cannot be in the presence of our sin. And, whether you understand it or not, you too, long to be reunited with your heavenly Father.   Therefore we need to confess and repent of those things in our life that are sin, immediately the burden is lifted, and your fellowship is restored.

Are you having a quiet time, reading God’s word, spending time in prayer, and going to church?  Turn to Him in confession, and repentance, and repent of what it is that is holding you back, and you will once again experience the love, mercy, and grace of your heavenly Father.
