Read: Ephesians 5

Key Verse: “But among you there must not be a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people.” Ephesians 5:3

Greed can sneak up on you. Gratitude begins to be replaced by entitlement. Wants turn into needs. Materialism convinces you that you need more. Suddenly enough is never enough. Compared to the rest of the world, you have riches, but inside you are not content or generous. You overlook people who are without water or food because you want the latest technology and another pair of shoes. Selfishness fuels greed, and it is best to catch it early!

Sexual immorality is sex outside of the context of marriage. If you live out your relationships God’s way, you will wait until marriage. Sadly, many Christians are choosing hormones over holiness. There are so many forms of impurity: pornography, the second look, inappropriate flirting, and sexting. You may be mocked if you commit yourself to God and are pure. Remember who you represent and do not settle for the standards of the world.
