Read: 2 Timothy 3

Key Verse: “People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy.” - 2 Timothy 3:2

Paul is warning Timothy that in the last days, many people will claim to be spiritual. Pay attention though to the fruit in their lives more than their claims. If someone really knows Jesus, their life will be marked by joy, peace, patience, and kindness. Selfish, greedy, disrespectful, excessively harsh, and boastful are indicators of spiritual sickness, not health. Be discerning about false teaching and the results of denying Jesus as Lord.

How grateful are you? Did it surprise you that ungrateful was on the list of people who have drifted away from God? Sometimes people who have received the most from Jesus are the least thankful. Do you express your gratitude to God? If you only had what you thanked God for in the last week, how much would you have? Stop taking people and blessings for granted. It is God’s will that you give thanks at all times with a heart of gratitude for His grace and provision!
