Aroma Therapy - Monday, December 12th 2016
And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.
Our service to God is a sweet smelling sacrifice to Him. Our prayers are an aroma of incense that is a glorious fragrance in the nostrils of our Heavenly Father.
And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God from the angel's hand.
When we step out in faith at the Lord's direction to love, serve, and pray for others our lives begin impacting the world around us. When we position ourselves in His service we don't just shine like a flashlight we burn off the chains of darkness like a laser beam. This is not only for us but those that are around us.
"You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
If you have ever been the only one in a room full of people left out of receiving a reward, you know the feeling of loss can be overwhelming. Don't just barely make it to heaven but allow the Lord to work in you now. If you merely attend service but don't intentionally serve, give, and play a distinct part in the body of Christ you and those around you are missing out in a huge way. Friend, let me encourage you to be a part. Join a small group at your church and get around other believers, begin serving, praying, and giving your life away for Christ. If you are not able to attend a Bible teaching church use the free resource of our iCampus and allow technology to beam into your area worship along with the Word of God. Invite others to be a part and serve, pray, and give their life away for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We have God's promise that there will be great reward for those that do. A reward that is not forgotten.
For God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other believers, as you still do.
Life Lesson: We miss out, and our loved ones miss out, when we don't follow the Lord.
Lord, thank you for sacrificing Yourself for me and for my sin. Please give me Your grace and power to begin serving You more wholeheartedly in fellowship with other believers. Help my heart to be all in with You and the opportunities that You have given me so that Your light will shine brightly through my life. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Living to tell what He died to say,
