God's Treasure - Wednesday, February 7th 2018

2 Chronicles 5:1

So all the work that Solomon had done for the house of the LORD was finished; and Solomon brought in the things which his father David had dedicated: the silver and the gold and all the furnishings. And he put them in the treasuries of the house of God.

Solomon was one of the greatest kings of Israel and the one God chose to build His temple. Once finished, Solomon filled the treasuries with wealth unimaginable. While this was a blessing to the Lord, there is a treasure God values more than all of the world's riches. That treasure, my friend, is you.

You are the pearl of great price that our Savior bled and died for. God had all He could ever want in the heavenly realm, but He left it all so that humanity could be saved and spend eternity with Him. Why would He do it you ask? Simple, His love for you.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Life Lesson: You are a valuable and precious treasure to God.

Dear God,
Thank You for the salvation You offer through Jesus. While I know I have sinned, I also understand that You died so that I can be forgiven. Change my heart and my life so that I may be used to share the Gospel with the world around me. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Living to tell what He died to say,
