The Battle - Monday, May 1st 2017

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
NKJV

We are at war. There is a battle for our marriages, for our families, and for the body of Christ. We are to be equipped by the Lord and ready to love others using the Word of God to cleanse and strengthen each other for the battles we face. In these battles it's important to be the kind of Christian that forgives and is willing to express forgiveness exponentially. While Christians have been noted as shooting their wounded the opposite should be true for followers of Jesus.

When we are down or someone else is down is when we need forgiveness and grace to help each other get back up. The Bible says the righteous man will fall seven times yet rise again (Proverbs 24:16). Then in (Matthew 18:21-22) Peter came and asked Jesus how often we should forgive. Jesus told him seventy times seven. We need to express this love to one another so that we show the world we are Christians by our love and that we are not alone.

Life Lesson: We don't fight alone.

Lord help me to see the battles that come against me and against my family and the family of God. Please give me the strength to love and build up the body of Christ the way that you've loved me. Remind me Lord that I'm not alone. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Living to tell what He died to say,
