God's Grace is Unrestricted

Read

Therefore, since we have been made right in God's sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God's glory. Romans 5:1-2

We can say with confidence and a clear conscience that we have lived with a God-given holiness and sincerity in all our dealings. We have depended on God's grace, not on our own human wisdom. That is how we have conducted ourselves before the world, and especially toward you. 2 Corinthians 1:12

Each time he said, "My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness." So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. 2 Corinthians 12:9

Reflect

Your entire relationship with God is based on grace. You are saved by grace and live by grace. Max Lucado explains it well: "Grace is the voice that calls us to change and gives us the power to pull it off."

These verses and many others show us that God does not react as the older brother in the Prodigal Son parable did. God's grace is undeserved, unconditional, unrestricted, and unlimited.

Respond

Are there people in your life you believe are not worthy of God's grace?

Are there people in your life to whom you are not willing to extend grace?

Take some time to ask God to show His grace to them and ask God to help you begin the grace of forgiveness.
