Psalm 103:12
…As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

So I Googled the question: How far is the east from the west? I found some very interesting answers. But the best answer I found was in the lyrics of a song by Casting Crowns.

Jesus can you show me just how far the east is from the west
Cause I can’t bear to see the man I’ve been
Rising up in me again
In the arms of your mercy I find rest
Cause you know just how far the east is from the west
From one scarred hand to the other.

Lord Jesus, thank you for paying the penalty for all my sins on the cross. Thank you for providing complete and final forgiveness for my sins by your great sacrifice. As I think of your forgiveness I am overcome with thanksgiving. But, Lord Jesus, may I never take forgiveness lightly. May I never forget that forgiveness was accomplished by your stretched out arms and nail pierced hands on the cross. Amen.
