I’m Sick

We all expect to get sick now and then, and that doesn’t bother us particularly. But when serious illness strikes, it can turn our lives upside down. Sickness shatters our illusion of control. Major sickness can destroy your savings, your career, your future. Prolonged sickness can also rock your faith in God’s protection, love, and care.

God is there for us when we need him. When we put our trust in him, we give him the chance to make the illness work for us. Once when Jesus’ friend Lazarus was seriously ill, everybody around him was panicking. But in John 11:4, Jesus simply said, “This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God’s glory so that God’s Son may be glorified through it.” He then demonstrated his power by raising Lazarus from the dead and by raising up a strong faith in those who were there.

Even if you can’t see it right away, God will make your life better in some significant way. Even more important, he uses major illness to advance his agenda. Your life becomes a canvas for him to paint on. Your sickness will be for God’s glory.

One Day Full of Grace

God’s grace is his unmerited and unlimited favor for those who are truly his. It’s his relentless determination to let nothing stand in the way of his love for his children.

Throughout One Day Full of Grace is woven the story of God’s great love—as it’s shown to many in the Bible, as it’s displayed in the author’s life and family, and how it’s a part of each Christian’s life. You’ll learn how you can fill your life with God’s goodness and mercy each and every day.
