After being convicted of stock fraud in 1988, Barry Minkow did his prison time. Then he became a pastor in San Diego and began working with the FBI to uncover fraud at a number of companies.
It was a great testimony for awhile, but recently Mr. Minkow returned to his old ways. He was charged with conspiracy to commit securities fraud.
1 Corinthians 10:12-13 teaches, “So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall! No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind.”
In a 1996 Washington Post article, Barry Minkow got it right when he said, “If you don’t have a change of heart, you are always going to go right back to what you did before. In my case, that was fraud.”
