Corruption in Russia
by Rick Boxx
April 20, 2010

The Indem Foundation, a research group in Moscow, claims that Russians spent almost $320 billion in bribes last year. According to a New York Times article, this is 2 ½ times more than the Russian government collects in annual budget revenue.

Corruption in Russia has skyrocketed in the last few years ranking it as one of the most corrupt nations. When justice is determined by how much you have, a sense of fairness disappears, and along with it hope.

Proverbs 28:5 teaches, "Evil men do not understand justice, but those who seek the Lord understand it completely."

For those who do business in Russia we need to stand firm against evil and demand justice and fairness. Without it there will be no healthy system of commerce.
