Open Doors and Obligations
by Rick Boxx
December 30, 2009

Larry King once asked the radio commentator Paul Harvey, "Who is Paul Harvey?" Mr. Harvey not only described himself, he went on to explain why he invested his life in radio.

"When we pray for guidance," Paul Harvey replied, "and doors begin to open instead of close, a person comes to think of a job as an obligation to enlighten and inform." Paul Harvey obviously enjoyed carrying out his God given obligation.

King Solomon wrote in Ecclesiastes 5:19, "Furthermore, as for every man to whom God has given riches and wealth. He has also empowered him to eat from them and to receive his reward and rejoice in his labor; this is the gift of God."

If God opened doors for your profession, enjoy and rejoice in your calling.
