Car Dealer Blues

A small town car dealer, saddled with large debts and losses, began deceiving his bank. He had promised to pay the bank all monies owed on each car sold. Instead, due to his cash flow problems, he kept the money and funded his losses.
He was considering bankruptcy and other options, to avoid telling the bank the truth. He feared the bank would drive him out of business.
Since he asked my counsel, I reminded him of the story of Potiphar's wife pressuring Joseph to have sex with her. In Genesis 39:9 Joseph said, "How then could I do such a wicked thing and sin against God?"
Joseph was more concerned with God's thoughts than Potiphar's. I encouraged this car dealer that I would rather have God on my side, then the banker.
