The Deceived Children
by Rick Boxx
February 23, 2010

According to The Kansas City Star, Megan Laboy, a former social studies teacher in New Jersey, pleaded guilty to theft by deception. She pocketed "charitable donations" from her students who desired to improve their grades.

These students were taught that working hard wasn't required, if they had enough money. It's tragic to encourage this sort of behavior in adults, let alone with children.

Jesus taught the consequences of leading children into evil in Matthew 18:6, "Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea."

As one who has seen a millstone, I urge you to avoid being the cause of children stumbling.
