Kathy's Kindness
by Rick Boxx
February 5, 2010

Kathy's birthday didn't start well. She felt sick and a trip downtown was frustrating and failed to accomplish her goal. With all of that happening before she even made it to work, she was in a poor frame of mind.

Before clocking in, she stopped in the hospital cafeteria only to find a frazzled mother of a sick child trying to buy breakfast without enough money. Overcome with compassion Kathy told this mother, "Get whatever you want for breakfast, I'm buying."

Kathy's act of kindness resulted in a surprise benefit; a refreshed and thankful attitude for herself.

Proverbs 11:17 says, "A kind man benefits himself, but a cruel man brings trouble on himself."

If you're having a bad day, consider a little kindness to others. You might appreciate the benefits.
