Accessible and Available

A Wall Street Journal editorial mentioned a trend of some busy executives hiring a "chief of staff." When many CEOs are already isolated from their staff, they're now appointing another gatekeeper. This makes it challenging for staff to gain access to their boss.

Time management is critical, yet leadership is about "serving" your people, not avoiding them.

In Mark 10:13-14, "People were bringing little children to Jesus to have him touch them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these."

If the Son of God was willing to be accessible to children, shouldn't we remain available to our staff?
