An attorney told me about a grocery store chain that had filed bankruptcy 20 years ago. The creditors committee included a representative from Coca-Cola and one from Pepsi.
According to the attorney, the scheduled creditor's meeting in Kansas City was delayed several hours, because of Coca-Cola and Pepsi's fierce rivalry. Even though both the Coca-Cola and Pepsi attorneys were coming from Atlanta, one of them supposedly was not allowed to fly on the same flight, because it served their competitors product.
Proverbs 14:21 says, "He who despises his neighbor sins, but happy is he who is gracious to the poor."
I don't know Coke or Pepsi's view on this story, but competition can be healthy and fun, or it can cross the line into fostering scorn of an opponent. Which are you practicing?
