The Proper Time
By Rick Boxx
January 5, 2011
A Wall Street Journal article titled, "Making 2011 the Year of Great Relationships" identified several ideas to develop stronger relationships in the coming years. One couple decided to schedule 5 minutes a night for each of them to share the highlights of their day. Those few minutes together enhanced their relationship.
In the workplace many leaders are so busy they overlook the importance of developing genuine relationships with those who work with them. It doesn't have to consume lots of time to show others that you care.
King Solomon taught in Ecclesiastes 8:6, "For there is a proper time and procedure for every matter, though a man's misery weighs heavily upon him."
Is 2011 the proper year for you to schedule time to get to know your peers or staff better?
