A True Survivor

As a Polish Jew, Sonia Warshawski survived six years of beatings and murders in the Auschwitz death camp, even though most of her family didn’t. The day the British liberated the camp a Nazi soldier shot Sonia, yet, she survived.

For the last 30 years Sonia has flourished as a tailor in a dying shopping mall. While all the other stores closed, Sonia’s business continued, until she was evicted.

At 91 years old, it seemed her career was over, but she persevered. She moved her business into a dying office building where she is thriving.

Sonia models Romans 5:3 that says, “We also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance.”

If you’re experiencing setbacks, remember your suffering will produce perseverance, which allows you to finish well.
