Adjusting to Reality
June 14, 2011
By: Rick Boxx

As I was walking through my neighborhood, I was surprised to see several recently listed homes had already sold. As I wondered how these homeowners had been successful, while others hadn’t, I remembered a previous conversation.

A real estate agent shared with me that she had potential buyers, but it took a year or more for many sellers to adjust to the new realities of the marketplace. Once they finally realized their home was no longer worth what they thought, then they had a better chance of selling their home.

Proverbs 4:7 teaches, “Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding.”

In today’s workplace, what used to work may not any longer. Understanding the market is critical for success.
