The Generous Judge
June 28, 2011
By: Rick Boxx

Judge David Daugherty, a Social Security Administrative Judge, only declined 4 out of 2014 disability cases in 18 months. According to a West Virginia Record article, the national average is 60% approval.

Judge Daugherty is now being investigated.

King Jehoshaphat advised his judges in 2 Chronicles 19:6, “Consider carefully what you do, because you are not judging for man but for the Lord, who is with you whenever you give a verdict. Now let the fear of the Lord be upon you. Judge carefully, for with the Lord our God there is no injustice or partiality or bribery.”

Although many more may deserve disability it’s still important that justice prevail. Partiality can be for the poor as well as the rich. God desires us to judge both fairly.
