Costly Mistakes
By Rick Boxx
June 6, 2011

During a panel discussion at a workshop I attended, a business owner was asked to share the dumbest mistake she ever made in business. “When I was 25,” she replied, “I hired an architect to draft plans to remodel a building, before I had a signed lease. That mistake ended up costing me thousands of dollars that took years to repay.”

A psalmist wrote in Psalm 19:12-13, “Who can discern his errors? Forgive my hidden faults. Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me. Then will I be blameless, innocent of great transgression.”

In business there are plenty of opportunities to make mistakes. Prayer, listening closely to the Holy Spirit, and seeking wise counsel may help you avoid the costly ones.
