An Out-of-Control Toyota
By Rick Boxx
March 16, 2010

Imagine your car going faster and faster until you're exceeding 90 miles per hour, while you desperately try to regain control. For James Sikes that became reality.

His Toyota eventually came to a halt when a patrolman caught up and shouted instructions through a loud speaker. By applying the emergency brake, Sikes decreased the speed and stopped.

For many, our life seems like Mr. Sikes' car. We race white-knuckled through life desperately trying to regain control. God, like the patrolman, has an answer. We need to apply the brakes.

King David said in Psalm 131:1-2, "I do not concern myself with great matters or things too wonderful for me. But I have stilled and quieted my soul…"

If your life is racing out of control try being still.
