Cyber Monday in the Workplace
According to Wikipedia, Cyber Monday online sales have grown since 2006 from $610 million to over $3 billion in 2016. This has come at the expense, however, of many workplaces.
According to comScore chairman Gian Fulgoni, “Cyber Monday online sales have always been driven by considerable buying activity from work locations.” Some workplaces have chosen to crack down on employees shopping online while at work, while others ignore the problem.
Colossians 3, talking about the workplace, teaches, “It is the Lord Christ whom you serve. For he who does wrong will receive the consequences of the wrong which he has done, and that without partiality.”
As an employer, we are not to be harsh, yet, we should expect our employees to work, not shop, and hold them accountable when necessary.
