Setting Aside Passion
By: Rick Boxx
September 15, 2013

Have you ever heard the old saying, "To a hammer everything looks like a nail"? Over the years I think I've forced my passion for the faith-at-work message on others.

Due to my passion, when Ive been speaking about evangelism and discipleship with a group of pastors or ministry leaders, it's easy for me to launch into the importance of workplace evangelism and discipleship.

Having a God-given passion is important, and advancing your agenda has its place, yet we also need to pause and realize the need for balance.

Proverbs 15:2 teaches, The tongue of the wise makes knowledge acceptable, But the mouth of fools spouts folly.

Sometimes we need to set aside our passion to allow others to add their voice to the discussion as well. Do you?
