And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in things, may have an abundance for every good work. (2 Corinthians 9:8)
When the apostle Paul said, “that you might be filled with all the fullness of God,” he was referring to God compressing Himself to fit into our limited capacity. When Christ fills us individually with all of His fullness, God puts all of Himself into us and gives us all that we need. Oftentimes, we want to reverse this order with our desire to contain God. Whenever we do this, however, our God is too small. Instead, God wants to fill us with His fullness.
In Living in the In-Between Times, Pastor Ralph Douglas West brings the story of the Old Testament prophet Samuel to life, showing you how God speaks in your “in betweens” and what it looks like to live faithfully in these seasons of waiting and wondering.
